Ploughshares

Dantiel W. Moniz of Jacksonville, Florida, won the 2018 Alice Hoffman Prize for Fiction for her story “Milk Blood Heat,” which was published in the Spring

2018 issue of Ploughshares. She received $2,500. The editors judged. The annual award is given for a work of fiction published in the journal in the previous year. There is no application process.
