Kauai Writers Conference
The 2019 Kauai Writers Conference will be held from November 4 to November 10 at the Marriott Resort on Kalapaki Beach in Kauai, Hawai’i. The conference features master classes in fiction and creative nonfiction, as well as agent pitch sessions, manuscript critiques, and publishing consultations. The faculty includes fiction writers Richard Bausch, Christina Baker Kline, Paula McLain, Joshua Mohr, Téa Obreht, Priya Parmar, Anne Perry, Whitney Scharer, Lisa Wingate, Meg Wolitzer, and Victoria Zackheim; and creative nonfiction writers Amy Ferris, Linda Schreyer, and Sheila Weller. Participating agents include Stephanie Cabot (Gernert Company), Susan Golomb (Writers House), and Michelle Tessler (Tessler Literary Agency). Participating publishing professionals include Kevin Larimer (Poets & Writers), Lisa Sharkey (HarperCollins), David Sterry (Book Doctors), and
Brooke Warner (She Writes Press). The cost of the conference, which includes all lectures, performances, small group craft workshops, and some meals, is
$695; master classes are available for an additional $595. Individual master classes cost $695. Agent pitch sessions are available for an additional $50; manuscript critiques and publishing consultations for $95; and a ticket to the Literary
