Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference
The 2021 Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference will be held online from June 21 to June 26. The conference features workshops, craft talks, panels, an evening reading series, and manuscript consultations for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty includes poets Jennifer Elise Foerster and John Murillo, fiction writer Danielle Evans, and creative nonfiction writers Faith Adiele and J. Drew Lanham. The 2021 Distinguished Visiting Writer is poet Nikky Finney. The cost of the conference, which includes a five-day workshop, is $500 through April 1 and $575 thereafter. Half-hour manuscript consultations are available for an additional $60. An auditor option, which includes all conference events except a workshop, is available for $100. Workshops are limited to 12 participants; registration is first come, first served. Using only the online application system, submit 5 to 10 pages of poetry or 10 to 20 pages of prose by May 1.
