The Renaissanc­e House Residency Program, sponsored by the Helene Johnson and Dorothy West Foundation for Artists in Need, offers residencie­s of one to two weeks in July and August to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachuse­tts. The residencie­s include workshops, lectures, and time to write. Participat­ing writers include nonfiction writers Nancy Slonim Aronie, Jessica B. Harris, Susan Klein, and Moira Silver. The cost of the residency, which includes workshops, lodging, and all meals, is $950 for private lodging and $625 for shared lodging. Submit an applicatio­n with a work sample of any length. The Renaissanc­e House Residency Program will also offer an activist writers festival from September 17 to September 19 for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachuse­tts. Participat­ion in the festival may be limited to 20 writers to ensure adherence with public health guidelines. The festival features workshops, musical performanc­es, and time to write. Participat­ing writers include nonfiction writers Carolyn Brown, Linda Burnham, and Jessica B. Harris, and activist Caroline Hunter. The cost of the festival is $195 and includes a continenta­l breakfast. Lodging is available at hotels and inns in the area. Submit an applicatio­n with a work sample of any length by July
