Unsecured property taxes are due Aug. 31

Tulare County Auditor-controller/treasurer-tax Collector Rita Woodard is reminding taxpayers that unsecured tax bills are due Aug. 31. If the payment is not received or postmarked by the delinquent date, a 10 percent penalty will be assessed.

The 2016/2017 Unsecured Tax bills were mailed in July. If you did not receive your Unsecured Tax bill or are unable to find it, you may view and print a copy from our website at www.tularecoun­tytax.com, or goto the office at 221 South Mooney Blvd., Room 104E, Visalia. The Tax Collector’s phone number is6 36-5250.

Payment can be made by mail in the envelope provided, or in the office by cash, check or credit card. Additional­ly, taxpayers can pay current bills online at our website (www.tularecoun­tytax.com) or by phone (1-800-2659581) by either credit card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

The Tax Collector’s office has a curbside drop box for tax payments made by check. It is located in the northeast parking lot (next to Mooney Blvd.) at the Visalia Courthouse. Include Assessor Parcel Number (APN) on the check and also enclose payment stub in the envelope.

Make property tax check payable to Rita A. Woodard, Tulare County Tax Collector, put parcel number in the memo field, include payment stub(s) and mail your payment to: Tulare County Tax Collector, PO Box 30329, Los Angeles, CA 90030-0329.
