Jason Shawn Caudell, 39, returned to his heavenly home on December 5, after a valiant battle with lung illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his battle and ultimately gave him peace.

Jason was born to Deborah Meier & Elmer Caudell in Tulare, CA on August 16, 1977. Jason was raised in Portervill­e, CA and graduated in 1996. Though he wore many hats throughout his life, his passion for helping others led him to starting and pastoring Sierra Cowboy Church, where he shared his faith and love of God with all.

Jason was blessed with a large and loving family. He met his bride, Heather in 1997 and married on September 11, 1999 in Terra Bella, CA. Jason helped raise their five children, with love, compassion, discipline and humility. From the very beginning he instilled his faith and love of God encouragin­g them to explore the beauty of the gospels.

Jason was a devoted father, husband, son, brother and loyal friend to all who knew him. He thrived on spending as much quality time with his family as he could, always yearning for the next adventure. He was passionate about God and his faith. He enjoyed his horses, camping and singing. Jason was often referred to as "Job" facing many adversitie­s, yet his faith and trust in God never waivered.

Jason is survived by his wife Heather, sons Ashton, Kai, Brayden; his daughters Danavea & Rhylie; his mother Deborah Meier, father Elmer Caudell; sister Shannon Rojas, and brother-inlaw Javier Rojas; brother Jeremy Caudell and sisterin-law Amy Caudell; inlaws John & Sue Giesbert; brother-in-law Jeremy Giesbert and sister-in-law Lori Giesbert, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Shawn Caudell and grandma Hazel Caudell.

A celebratio­n service for Jason will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel in Visalia, CA with a celebratio­n of life to follow at 955 W. Gail Ave., Tulare, CA.

He was a special blessing to his mom as are his sister Shannon & little brother Jeremy.

We are lost without him!
