Warrants / Possess burglary Tools

Officers at 7:24 a.m. contacted Eric Stiles, 29, in the area of Belleview Avenue and Indiana Street, knowing he had active warrants. The three Kern County warrants were confirmed, one being a Post Release Community Supervisio­n violation. Stiles was also found to be in possession of shaved keys, used to steal cars, for which he was arrested.

Officers responded at 11:46 a.m. to the 600 block of West Putnam Avenue regarding a reported burglary. The victim reported that a Wii-u video gaming system, as well as seven unknown video games, were stolen from her apartment sometime overnight.

Resist Arrest / Parole Hold

An officer attempted a traffic stop at 9:38 p.m. on a bicyclist, Samuel Martinez, 50, in the area of Orange and Hockett for a bicycle violation. Martinez fled northbound on Main and as he attempted to elude the officer, he rode his bicycle eastbound across Main and collided into the left rear of of a patrol car, which was northbound on Main in the northbound No. 1 lane. Martinez attempted to flee on foot but was apprehende­d and arrested for resisting arrest without incident. Martinez was found to have an active parole hold for his arrest. Martinez was booked at the substation. CHP completed a traffic collision report and an Administra­tive report was completed.
