Warrants / Possess burglary Tools
Officers at 7:24 a.m. contacted Eric Stiles, 29, in the area of Belleview Avenue and Indiana Street, knowing he had active warrants. The three Kern County warrants were confirmed, one being a Post Release Community Supervision violation. Stiles was also found to be in possession of shaved keys, used to steal cars, for which he was arrested.

Officers responded at 11:46 a.m. to the 600 block of West Putnam Avenue regarding a reported burglary. The victim reported that a Wii-u video gaming system, as well as seven unknown video games, were stolen from her apartment sometime overnight.
Resist Arrest / Parole Hold
An officer attempted a traffic stop at 9:38 p.m. on a bicyclist, Samuel Martinez, 50, in the area of Orange and Hockett for a bicycle violation. Martinez fled northbound on Main and as he attempted to elude the officer, he rode his bicycle eastbound across Main and collided into the left rear of of a patrol car, which was northbound on Main in the northbound No. 1 lane. Martinez attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended and arrested for resisting arrest without incident. Martinez was found to have an active parole hold for his arrest. Martinez was booked at the substation. CHP completed a traffic collision report and an Administrative report was completed.
