Harry Royce Gloth

-

Harry Royce Gloth was born in Sedalia, Missouri on November 17, 1946 and passed on August 16, 2017 the way any family can hope: peaceful, surrounded by family, and most importantly so, so loved. Harry was born to parents Harry D. and Bernadine Gloth, and had two brothers, Jerry and Danny. He is carried on by his wife of 52 years Joyce, three children, Michelle (Jason), Lisa, Harry Jr., and his five grandchildren, Marcus, Tori, Jaycob, Emily and Hunter. His memory will live on through them, the many friends he made at Bingo on Tuesday nights, and by all the extended family he has gained at The Elks Lodge. Before his passing, Harry worked in Purchasing at Royalty Carpets, where he made lasting relationships with his fellow workers, but his fondest memories were made with his family. If Harry wasn’t at the Elks Lodge for Tuesday Bingo bringing a smile to the crowds, he was up at the casino with his wife doing what they loved most. Harry and Joyce made countless trips to Laughlin, and always came back to tell their kids and grandchildren the best stories.

While Harry loved the casino, he had a different love for the Colorado River. Sitting on the water watching boats and jetskis pass as the sun set always put a smile on his face, a smile that we are all sad to see go. Harry, also know by “Pa” to his family, was a happy man who showed only bravery and compassion throughout his life. He never let his family worry about him, and always made sure that those around him were taken care of. He was never afraid to show his kindness to the world, and always had a laugh up his sleeve. Harry made his family so proud, and after many years of life Harry Royce Gloth has finished his fight. He was a PER of Porterville Lodge.

The family invites you to celebrate his life on Thursday, August 31st between 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The celebration will be held at Harry’s second home, The Porterville Elks Lodge.
