has started for the 2017 season, and will continue through the fall. The market is held each Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Lindsay. It features food, vendors and other activities. tdisney’s “Mulan, Jr.” will be opening at the

Barn Theater on Friday, Aug. 25. For those of you who remember the stunning presentati­on of “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” last season, you will not be disappoint­ed this year as the all-children cast dazzle you with extraordin­ary talent and commitment. “Mulan, Jr.” will continue with three weekends of performanc­es at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2:30 p.m. for Sunday matinees through Sept. 10. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $5 for children 11 years and younger. A Sunday Brunch is scheduled for Sept. 3 at 12:30 p.m. Cost for the special brunch is $15 per person. Call and reserve soon as seating is limited. the Mighty Oak Chorus is once again having a fun evening of “Western Round Up” dining and entertainm­ent from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Ritchie Barn in Ivanhoe. The evening starts with a tri-tip steak barbecue dinner with special A&W Root Beer floats for dessert. The band “One Nation” will perform country songs in the barn while another band, “The Tayters,” entertains outside on the oak tree shaded lawn. Additional entertainm­ent includes the popular singing quartet “Some Assembly Required” and the Mighty Oak Chorus performing Broadway show tunes, country favorites, and patriotic songs. Guests are encouraged to dress in country-western attire and wander around bidding on silent auction items. this fundraiser supports the non-profit chorus with music, uniforms, a profession­al director, and anything else that is needed so group can provide musical entertainm­ent throughout Valley communitie­s. tickets are $20. city Pool will be open through Labor Day. Starting Thursday, Aug. 10, the City Pool will remain open on weekends only through the Labor Day holiday. Recreation­al swim hours will be from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and admission is $2 for adults and $1 for youth, ages 12 and under. The final Dive-in Theatre of the season will take place on Friday, Aug. 11. Bring your float and enjoy a showing of the movie “Kubo and the Two Strings” from inside the City Pool. Admission cost is $3 for adults and $2 for youth, ages 12 and under.
