Francisco Ochoa Fernandez

The Holy Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, Nov 7 at 6 PM at Webb Sanders & Smith Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Wednesday, November 8 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay for Francisco Ochoa Fernandez, 88 of Lindsay who passed away October 31. The Reverend Kenneth Bozzo will officiate and interment will follow the Mass service on Wednesday at Lindsay Public Cemetery.

Francisco or “Pire” as he was known by family and friends was born January 29, 1929 in Michoacán, Mexico to Eliseo Fernandez and Beatriz Ochoa and was raised and lived there most of his life. He was an Agriculture Farmer in Michoacán Mexico before moving to Lindsay in 1997.

Francisco was retired and enjoyed listening to music, dancing, walking and tending to his vegetable garden. He was very social and loved to visit with family and friends. He also loved to pray the rosary as a devout Roman Catholic.

Francisco was preceded in death by his wife Maria Isabel Castillo Asevedo, and a son Socorro Fernandez.

He is survived by 3 sons Antonio Fernandez, Jose Fernandez and Rigoberto Fernandez, 5 daughters Maria Fernandez, Marta Fernandez, Enedina Farias, Elena Fernandez and Irma Fernandez, three sisters Jesus Fernandez, Eloisa Fernandez and Refugia Fernandez. As well as 38 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
