Susan Kay Bitner age 73 passed away on May 28, 2018 in Portervill­e, Ca. Grave site will be Friday at 1:30 at Hillcrest Cemerary. She was born on October 16, 1944 in Bakersfiel­d CA. where she was raised and educated. Got and AA from BC.

Met her husband Bob in 1964. and moved to Fresno where Bob got his teaching credential and MFA in art from Fresno State.

They moved to Portervill­e in June 1970. They had 2 children Christy Bitner, and Mike Bitner & 4 Grandkids, Caitlin Bitner, Rachel Bitner, Shelby Scott ,Dalton Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Bitner and her grandson Casey Scott.

Susan enjoyed gardening, cooking, thrift stores and crafts. She was a participat­e in many craft shows including The Springvill­e Apple Festival for over 15 years. Susan love to go to the beach and Las Vegas, an avid penny machine nut.

While her kids were in grade school she was actively involved with PTA. She retired from PUSD as a secretary for special ed in the district office.

In the 1970 she and bob made movies. One won at an internatio­nal film festival. They made a Clint Eastwood type of movie. It premiered with a record crowd showing at the auditorium. She Co-owned and Operated a restaurant "Bon Appeite" for a short time.

She loved to dance. Her favorite partner was her husband Bob. They went to all of the rodeos. They were cowboys forever.

In the early 1980's the family got involved in motorcycle­s. It started out as "fun", but turned into racing state wide with their son Mike.

Her favorite day would be eating a maple bar and going thrift store shopping with her daughter in law Lynda. She loved animals, she had over 20 dogs in 50 years.
