PPD arrest four for burglary
Subjects in possession of property stolen from two Porterville schools
Four Porterville residents were arrested Wednesday afternoon by the Porterville Police Department for burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of property stolen from two Porterville schools.
PPD detectives observed a reported stolen vehicle parked unoccupied in the 1700 block of East Crabtree Avenue. The stolen vehicle matched the description of a suspect vehicle used in two burglaries and an attempted burglary the previous night at three separate Porterville schools.
Detectives conducted surveillance of the stolen vehicle and identified two suspects who were contacted, taken into custody, and identified as Miguel Rodriguez and David Wall.
The stolen vehicle was recovered and a portion of the stolen school property from the burglaries was recovered inside the stolen vehicle. The investigation led Detectives to the area of the Tule River and South ‘E’ Street, where they contacted Ignacio Lopez and Carmen Steiner.
During contact with Lopez and Steiner, detectives located the remaining stolen property from the burglaries as well as an additional reported stolen vehicle. Lopez and Steiner were arrested and the stolen property and vehicle were recovered.
Miguel Rodriguez was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Porterville Sub-station for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, and Burglary.
David Wall was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Porterville Substation for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, and Burglary.
Ignacio Lopez was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Pre-trial Facility for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Stolen Property.
Carmen Steiner was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Pre-trial Facility for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Stolen Property.
