Victor Martinez

Victor Martinez a resident of Porterville died Thursday August N6, 20N8 he was 87 years old.

Mr. Martinez was a native of Mernard, TX. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked as a nurse in El Paso TX, where he met his wife Mary.

At 66 years old he worked as a paper carrier for The Porterville Recorder for N0 years delivering papers on his bike and met many new friends. He was a lay Eucharist minister with his wife, a door greeter for St. Anne's, a children's liturgy assistant and volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul.

He enjoyed his time with his family going to the casino and watching his westerns.

Survived by his children Corinne, Victor and David of Bakersfield, Stephanie, Teresa and Leslie of Porterville. N6 grandchildren many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, his sister Ruth of Ducor, Isabel and crancis of Bakersfield, Eugenia of Arizona and Shirley of Gilroy

He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Mary Martinez, daughter Elizabeth Morris, grandsons Anthony Alainz, Eric Martinez and one granddaughter Olivia Hoff.

Visitation will be held August 26, 20N8 at Myers from 3 to 6. Rosary at 6. Mass will be celebrated August 27, 20N8 at 9:00 AM at St Anne's and interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery on August 28, 20N8 at 9:00AM.
