Panthers beat Grizzlies 61-31
Porterville High School girls basketball stretched their undefeated streak to six games with a 61-31 win over Granite Hills in the semifinal game of 36th Annual George Glover Memorial tournament hosted by Strathmore High School Friday.
Jewelia Maniss led the Panthers with 19 points and scored 11 of those points in the first quarter alone. Also for Porterville Jazlynne Medrano finished with 12 points and Madison Johnson had eight.
For the Grizzlies, Yvette Felipe had 10 points and Valeria Galvez had eight.
Today, Porterville will play the winner of Friday’s semifinal game between Tulare Western and Strathmore in the championship game at 8 p.m. Granite Hills will play the loser of that game at 4 p.m. in the thirdplace game.
