Gran­ite Hills wrestling won an im­por­tant East Se­quoia League dual against Cor­co­ran, 48-36, at Sierra Pa­cific High School Thurs­day.

“They were ex­tremely tough and did not want to give up their reign on the ti­tle,” Bartlett said. “They’re a ma­jor fac­tor in Divi­sion II. But guess what? We’re bet­ter. Monache’s ju­nior var­sity team won 3-0 with Nina Ser­rato scor­ing three goals for a hat trick. Spar­tans drop two Strath­more girls soc­cer lost both their East Se­quoia League games this week. On Tues­day, the team lost 5-2 to Farm­ersville with Bella Baez scor­ing both of the Spar­tans goals. Then on Thurs­day, the team lost 4-0 to Sierra Pa­cific.

“We seem like we play well through out the game and then we have spurts where our youth and in­ex­pe­ri­ence shows up and we give up easy goals,” SHS head coach Hec­tor Gon­za­lez said. “The bright side of our team is that we are still fight­ing in the games to the end and the team is still learn­ing how to play the game.” Wood­lake 2 Gran­ite Hills 1
