Strathmore (22-7, 10-2

ESL) The postseason begins on the road for 10thseeded Strathmore (22-7, 10-2 ESL). The Spartans finished the season second in the East Yosemite League and start playoffs off with a game at seventh-seeded Kerman.

A win for Strathmore sets them up with a quarterfin­al matchup between 15th-seeded Taft (13-12) or second-seeded Mcfarland (24-4).

DIVISION V Granite Hills (17-9, 8-4

ESL) Coming off one of their best seasons in years, Granite Hills continues it with another postseason run. Once again the Grizzlies will also host their opening round game, this time against 11th-seed Orosi (14-14). The Grizzlies beat the Cardinals 62-41 earlier this season.

Advancing to the quarterfin­als means a game against either third seed Chowchilla (18-9) or

14th seed Fresno Christian (16-8). Last season, Granite Hills lost in the quarterfin­als to eventual Valley champion Chowchilla.

BOYS

DIVISION II Portervill­e (21-7, 8-2

EYL) After winning the East Yosemite League title Portervill­e (21-7, 8-2 EYL) is headed to the Div. II playoffs with the fifth-seed. They’re matched up against the 12th-seeded Rangers of Redwood (12-16). Earlier this season, Portervill­e beat Redwood 48-40 in Visalia.

If Portervill­e wins again they’ll likely face fourth seed, Independen­ce (18-6), in the quarterfin­als. The Falcons take on 15th-seeded Nipomo (12-16) in opening rounds. Monache (13-14, 5-5

EYL) Receiving an 11th seed this postseason, Monache (13-14, 5-5 EYL) starts playoffs on the road against sixth-seed Hanford West (20-9). A win for the Marauders pits

them against third-seed Lemoore (18-6), who received an opening-round bye.

DIVISION V Granite Hills (21-6, 12-0 ESL)

The back-to-back East Sequoia League champions of Granite Hills (216, 12-0 ESL) are headed to their first Div. V playoffs with the secondseed. If the Grizzlies win out, they’ll host both a quarterfin­al and semifinal game before heading to Fresno for the Valley championsh­ip at Selland Arena.

In their first test, Granite Hills takes on 15th-seed Riverdale (179). A win against Riverdale, sets up a quarterfin­al game against the winner of seventh-seed Orange Cove (16-9) and 10th-seed Fresno Christian (15-11) opening round game. Strathmore (19-8, 7-5

ESL) Also in Div. V, eighthseed­ed Strathmore (198, 7-5 ESL) hosts ninthseede­d Parlier (19-7) The Spartans are 1-1 against Parlier with Strathmore winning the first meeting 59-50 but losing 4645 the second time.

Should Strathmore win, they’ll face the winner of an opening round game between top-seed Liberty (24-4) and 16th seed Mendota (12-15).
