Bonnie was born February 28, 1944 to Clementina and Curtis Searcy in Anaheim CA. The eldest of six children Bonnie grew up in the coastal community of Arroyo Grande C.A. She and her family moved in across the street from Russell Davis and family in 1957. After becoming acquainted at the tender ages of 13 and 14 the two began dating. A short time later Russeli was smitten, as they say "the rest is History".

After graduating Arroyo Grande High School, the couple were married October 20th 1962.

Their first child arrived August of 63, a year later the three relocated to Porterville where they embarked on building a lifetime together. During their 56 years of marriage Russ and Bonnie encountered many struggles and a few hardships. Their level of dedication and commitment to each other combined with their affinity for hard work became a recipe for perseverance. In July of 1965 they welcomed the second of two children. Throughout their marriage Bonnie worked alongside Russell through a multitude of endeavors including a commercial cleaning service, a Tree Topping service, raising farm animals to sale at their family home to include turkeys, pigs, cattle and day old dairy calves.

Bonnie also enjoyedindependent employment as a waitress at locations around Porterville to include Carmen's Kitchen, Don's Hillside Inn and the Dutch Frontier. She wrapped up her employment career with a 12-year stint at the Employment Development Department before once again working alongside Russell and their son in their Casing Service in Kern County.

As grandchildren began arriving in the late 1980's and on through the 90's Bonnie embraced her new found role as Nanya and Grandma. As she was able to spent more time at home she cultivated her passion for gardening and spending many therapeutic hours in her yard and flower gardens.

She cherished sharing these moments with her grandchildren planting seeds of appreciation for gardening and growing. Bonnie was generous with her time and efforts in the community. As a young mother she served as president of the Mothers Club at Citrus South Tule where she was revered for the wonderful classroom holiday parties with homemade treats including heart shaped cookies beautifully decorated and egg shaped cupcakes for everyone. Her very favorite event by far was the Halloween carnivai complete with one of renowned Haunted houses.

Bonnie accompanied and supported her grandchildren's activities attending many rodeos and events as well as providing donations for the Sierra Jr Rodeo Association and the Portervilie Canterbells and Cowboys. Ending her community activities as a very active member of the Porterville Garden Club brought her great joy and the appreciation of many for all she contributed.

Family and friends were blessed by her wonderful meals and baked goods. Bonnie's Kitchen was abundant with pies, cookies and candies during the holidays, her pecan pie was surpassed by none.
