More reasons for supporting Trump
Response to Laverne Travis:
Despite the fact that I believe nothing I say can or will change Ms. Travis’ mind, I cannot let her baseless, vague allegations go unanswered.
Speaking only in generalities and not siting any specific “lie” is way too easy.
What bothers me is she apparently believes all other politicians have been nothing but totally honest. It would be huge mistake to believe that. The difference is that one’s dislike for President Trump turns any and all embellishments into outright “lies.”
I don’t doubt that Trump puts the best possible spin on his actions (every politician does), but the facts are these;
1. Unemployment for Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and women are at an all-time low.
2. I have more money in my pocket because of Trump’s Tax Reform Act. Over $3,000+ more in 2018 and $1,500+ more in 2019. I retired in 2019. I’m pretty sure you do too.
3. Businesses are doing much better because of the reduction in job killing regulations.
4. The number of illegal immigrants is declining.
5. He is the first President to stand up to China and take meaningful steps to stop the theft of intellectual property, currency manipulation, and curtail the uncontrolled smuggling of fentanyl into the US.
I’m sure the list could go on, but I’ll stop here.
However, I’m wondering if the “lies” ms. Travis is referring to include his claim that he was being spied on. That was proven to be true. Or, that the accusation that he colluded with the Russians was a hoax. Oh yeah, despite Adam Schiff claiming he has seen hard evidence of collusion, 2 years of investigations found NOTHING! Who’s the liar here? It is so blatantly obvious to me that the Democrats’ hatred for Donald Trump has completely altered their reality.
I can think of only one explanation for the fact that different people can view identical situations and arrive and polar opposite conclusions. It can only be that on’s perception of any situation is influenced by totally different histories, whether it is personal experience, or who they associate with, or where they were educated. To not be biased is practically impossible. Everyone brings their own history and beliefs to every situation. Craig Dimmitt Porterville
