Over 10,000 cases in county — Over 7,000 recoveries

On Wednesday, the Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency released the most recent numbers for COVID-19 cases in the county and reported that Tulare County now has had 10,078 COVID-19 cases, an increase of 88 over the previous day. Of the 10,078 total cases that have been reported, 2,860 of those cases are active.

No new deaths due to COVID-19 were reported, leaving the total number of deaths in Tulare County at 193. The state model projects the county to have 314 deaths by September 3, which is down significan­tly from the 407 deaths previously projected.

On Wednesday, the county reported that there have been 7,025 people in Tulare County who have recovered after testing positive for COVID-19, an increase of 175 over the previous day.

There are 559 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Tulare County nursing homes.

In its latest update on Wednesday, the county reported there has been 1,600 cases in the Portervill­e area, 84 cases in Terra Bella, 127 cases in Strathmore, 436 cases in Lindsay, 24 cases in foothill-mountain communitie­s, 66 cases in Richgrove, 441 cases in Earlimart, 207 cases in Pixley, 46 cases in Tipton, 185 cases in Exeter, 1,445 cases in Tulare, 1,169 cases in Dinuba, 405 cases in Orosi, 66 cases in Cutler, 48 cases in Traver, 35 cases in Goshen, 11 cases in the Reedley area, 11 cases in Orange Cove, 124 cases in Woodlake, 286 cases in Farmersvil­le and 107 cases in Ivanhoe.

In Visalia there has been 1,241 cases in one region, 728 cases in another region and 822 cases in a third region.

The ethnicity impacted in Tulare County the most is Hispanics with 5,557 cases reported. There have been 1,005 cases who have been Caucasian, 135 have been Asian, 42 have been African-american, 12 have been Native American, 14 have been multi-race and 3,183 are unknown.

There have been 1,277 cases ages 0-17, 1,590 cases ages 18-25, 2,856 cases ages 26-40, 3,175 cases ages 41-64 and 1,171 cases ages 65 and older.

There have been 68 cases reported as travel-related, 3,415 cases due to personto-person contact and 6,595 cases are under investigat­ion.

There are 309 people in Tulare County who are under self-quarantine and being monitored by public health officials.

As of Wednesday, the county reported 105 individual­s are being hospitaliz­ed due to COVID-19.
