Ignorant Questions

- Sylvia J. Harral Tid-bits of Health Sylvia J. Harral, M.ED., N.C. , is the Education Director for Golden Sunrise Nutraceutical, Inc.

What kind of response would you get if you went to a wise person and asked an ignorant question?

Lately, several people have shared this scenario with me. Their body is experiencing pain. They find a wise person and ask, “Why am I having this pain?” The wise one reaches down into the depth of their wisdom and answers, “That’s what happens when you get older.”

None of the people said they were helped by that answer. If their pain is the result of their age, then to make the pain go away, they’d have to get younger. Growing younger would be nice, but the impossibility of that makes them feel trapped in their pain. They’re at the mercy of the wise one to come up with a better answer.

Could they have extracted a better answer from their wise one if they had asked a better question? What would a better question be? The pain caused the question, but what caused the pain?

Inferior questions come from a place of ignorance. Better questions come from a foundation of knowledge. A wise one will know the truth about how the body functions. They can figure out what causes a painful symptom. A sneak peek into the basic cause of symptoms will enable us to ask a better question. Symptoms are caused by foreign substances that invade our cells and make them malfunction. Invaders are toxins in the form of chemicals, virus, bacteria, or inflammation. Nutrients are the ammunition the cell uses to drive the toxic invaders out. If the cells are lacking a nutrient, they can’t protect themselves against an invader. The cells are defenseless, and the invader creates the malfunction.

When enough cells in a particular tissue malfunction, that area of the body starts having a problem. The problem is called a symptom, and symptoms are where every disease originates. It doesn’t matter what name is given to a disease. Different names are given to each different set of symptoms. Disease is caused by symptoms. Symptoms are caused by malfunctions. Malfunctions are caused by toxins that are allowed to enter a cell that’s suffering from a nutrient deficiency.

Now, when we go to a wise person and ask for help with a symptom, we can ask our question from a foundation of knowledge. We can ask what nutrients we need to give our poor, malfunctioning cells so they can have the ammunition to kick out their toxins and start functioning normally.

We need to understand our cells aren’t malfunctioning because they’re deficient in a chemical. Chemicals aren’t nutrients. They’re toxins that will need to be removed by nutrients sooner or later. That’s why chemicals cause side effects. The side effects are nutrient deficiencies that are popping up in another area of the body, because the new area has been drained of its nutrients to help the original symptom disappear.

If we think about it, a headache isn’t a Tylenol deficiency disease. Headaches are most often water deficiency symptom. The water we drink with the Tylenol removes the cause of the headache while the Tylenol stops you from feeling the pain. If the headache stays away, it’s because the water corrected the nutrient deficiency.

The bottom line is: approach a wise person from a foundation of knowledge. Ask, “What nutrient will make this pain go away?” But, before you ask for help, make sure you have taken care of the basic deficiencies which are: 1) Oxygen, 2) Water, 3) Trace minerals, 4) Healthy fats, 5) Proteins, 7) Healthy carbohydrates, 6) Rest, 7) Movement, 8) An attitude of gratitude, and 9) Trust in your body’s Natural Healing Pathway. Take care of these on a daily basis then go ask. This is how to take charge of your health. If you’re already doing this, it will greatly help the wise one be more precise in finding the reason why you’re having pain.

On Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., I’m conducting a fun, free “Walkthrough Workshop” on the corner of Putnam and E Street in Porterville. You’re welcome to wear your mask and practice social distancing. There will be information regarding your Natural Healing Pathway, snacks and water, raffle drawing for attendance, updated information regarding the legal action against Golden Sunrise Nutraceutical (our favorite nutrient supplement company), questions and answers, an opportunity to sign a petition to get the supplements back if you haven’t already done so and dancing of course. See you there!

Until then … TAKE CHARGE! … Sylvia
