Deaths increase by three

According to the most recent report released by the Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency on Wednesday morning, The number of active cases in Tulare County increased by 143 on Wednesday. There are now 1,493 people in Tulare County who have active COVID-19 cases. Since March 11 there have been 20,550 COVID-19 cases in Tulare County.

On Wednesday, the agency reported three new deaths. The number of deaths from COVID-19 in the county increased from 305 to 308.

Of the 20,550 cases in the county, 68 cases have been from travel, 6,620 cases have been from person to person contact and 13,862 cases are from unknown causes.

There was also an increase in recoveries reported on Wednesday. There are now 18,749 people in Tulare County who have recovered after testing positive for COVID-19.

Since March 11, there have been 3,596 cases in the Porterville area, 225 cases in Terra Bella, 297 cases in Strathmore, 760 cases in Lindsay, 64 cases in foothill-mountain communities, 153 cases in Richgrove, 28 cases in Alpaugh, 132 cases in Tipton, 361 cases in Pixley, 836 cases in Earlimart, 3,347 cases in Tulare, 2,117 cases in Dinuba, 601 cases in Farmersville, 449 cases in Exeter, 349 cases in Woodlake, 412 cases in Cutler, 727 cases in Orosi, 47 cases in Goshen, 107 cases in Traver, 16 cases in the Reedley area and 11 cases in Orange Cove.

In Visalia there have been 2,422 cases in one region, 1,400 cases in another region and 1,708 cases in a third region.

There have been 2,920 cases ages 0-17, 3,261 cases ages 18-25, 5,894 cases

ages 26-40, 6,402 cases ages 41-64 and 2,062 cases ages 65 and older.

There have been 11,899 cases who have been Hispanic, 2,122 have been Caucasian, 381 have been Asian, 108 have been African American, 85 have been Native American, 430 have been multirace and 5,525 are unknown.

There are 849 people in Tulare County who are under self-quarantine being monitored by public health officials.
