Daylight stupidity time

You cannot make daylight or save daylight by changing the time on a clock. This is complete and total stupidity.

The amount of daylight in a 24 hour day is based on time of the year, not time on a clock. Only a politician is stupid enough to believe that you can make or save daylight by changing the time on a clock. If you want to get up an hour earlier, then you should do so, but don’t make everyone else get up an hour earlier. Let’s top this daylight stupidity time.

Be prepared for water rate increase

On 3/1/21 Southern California Edison posted a notice of rate increase in the Recorder for Catalina Island — the increase is due to drought conditions on the island.

The water bill will be on a 5 yr. Rate increase starting in 2022. A 5/8” meter using 1,466 gal., per meter, per month will cost the resident a 40 percent increase in their bill up to approximately 153 percent increase in 2026.

On 3/3 Charles Whisnand reported the water allocation for the Central Valley will be only 20 percent of class 1 of 800,000 acre feet (160,000 a.f.) and 0 percent of class 2 of 1.4 million acre feet of water.

All the above actions are because of drought conditions.

In vidw of the above statistics it seems to me the inhabitants of the Central Valley better pepare for a rate increase and water usage cut to 1,466 gal. Per month, per meter of water.
