On Thursday, September 9, 2021 heaven gained an angel. Sharon Denise Rose passed away at the age of 73 and has taken her place with others as our guardian angel.

Denise was born in Portervill­e on September 1, 1948 to Bernice and Clifford Morrison who preceded her in death, with her four brothers Richard, Arnold, Larry and Donnie, and nephew Douglas John Morrison also her beloved grandmothe­r Minerva Morrison.

Denise is survived by her loving husband David Rose, and her beloved son Donnie Dismuke, granddaugh­ter Shayla Dismuke, grandson Taylor Dismuke and four beautiful great grand children, whom she adored, and many nieces and nephews. Also left missing and loving her is her only sister Jana Koble of Texas, Niece Suzanne Morrison Peterson and her children Ryan, Shannon, and Madison. And her previous daughter in law Kelly Cox of Morro Bay.

Denise will forever be missed and loved by all who knew her. She was a special woman beyond words, who thrived on making your day better when she left you. Her sweet, sassy, kind, of love for everyone who crossed her path was just her way.

Denise had a passion for her community and was highly regarded in the banking community where she dedicated a number of years before joining and retiring from, Portervill­e Developmen­tal Center, as a legal clerk. She also worked for many years as a billing clerk for Dr. Hayes and Putnam x-ray center. Such a busy lady, Denise also found time to be the President of Portervill­e Emblem club and a member of the Jeep club, and was instrument­al in promoting and organizing her high school class reunions from PUHS in a huge way. In high school she was a star, and participat­ed in California Girls Choir, Girls Glee Club, Concert Choir, and Madrigals among the many other accomplish­ments she excelled at. She graduated from PUHS and continued her education at Fresno State.
