Irma Armendarez passed away at the age of 70, in Temecula, CA, with her two daughters by her side.

Irma was born January 14, 1952 in Bakersfiel­d, CA to Octavio and Alicia Armendariz. Irma was raised in Delano, CA and graduated from Delano High School. While in high school, Irma met the love of her life, Steve Armendarez.

After graduation, Irma and Steve married and were off creating their life which included living in different locations until Steve was finally stationed in Fort Lewis, Tacoma, WA.

While in Tacoma, WA, Irma and Steve welcomed their two daughters, Veronica and Lisa. Shortly after having their second child, Irma moved back to California and made a home for her family in Portervill­e, CA, where she resided for 34 years. Irma resided in Chandler, AZ for the remainder of her life.

Throughout her years, Irma enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughters. She enjoyed large family gatherings during the holidays and special occasions, reading and traveling. Some of Irma’s best travels were to the Bahamas, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy and Spain.

Irma is survived by her two daughters, Veronica Armendarez-hanna (San Marcos, CA) and Lisa Armendarez (Chandler, AZ), and siblings, Art Armendariz (Delano, CA), Rita Gonzalez (Delano, CA) and David Armendariz (Bakersfiel­d, CA).

Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Armendarez and her parents Octavio and Alicia Armendariz.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 28th from 2:30 - 6 pm at Delano Mortuary. Rosary will be held Thursday, April 28th at 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Friday, April 29th at 12 pm with the Committal Service following at 1 pm at North Kern District Cemetery.

Veronica and Lisa would like to thank Temecula Memory Care for the wonderful care and support of their mother. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Irma to be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
