What about the man’s responsibility

Some of us may remember an old advertisement for a laundry detergent many years ago. It referred to the “ring around the collar.” The ad claimed “it” was the detergent to buy to wash the “ring” out, more or less blaming the women for choosing the incorrect detergent to do the job!

Well, it wasn’t the woman’s fault for not getting the ring out with the “right” detergent! It was actually the “man’s” fault for not washing his neck. I see a correlation between the ad and the idea of placing sole responsibility on the woman for an wanted pregnancy.

Where is the man’s responsibility in all this? He impregnated the woman, why does he get away unscathed? We know the “rich” and the “powerful” men can send their women out of the country for an abortion or they pay plenty to have it taken care of. Are their doctors going to be penalized?

Why don’t we outlaw pornography? Men view it, buy it, or go pleasure themselves at a “hot” spot. Is it because men enjoy, can’t do without it (even while at work or on the phone)? They make the laws and they aren’t going to punish themselves!

These problems have been around since Biblical times. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? God’s law took care of that. We all pay for mistakes and suffer the consequences. However there are those who don’t believe in consequences, example Mr. Trump!

Boys and young men have their responsibility to learn what will happen when they sow their “wild” oats. A “life” unwanted!
