David James Franklin Jan. 25, 1936 - May 16, 2022

David James Franklin, 86, passed away in his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on May 16, 2022.

David spent his childhood in Tulare, California. After completing college at Fresno State University, David earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1961 from The College of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco, California.

David was married to the love of his life, Doreen Franklin, for 51 years, and together they raised three children and many animals in their beautiful country home on the hill.

As a respected member of the community, David practiced dentistry for 36 years, providing comfort and excellent care to his many patients. He loved watching, coaching, and playing sports, fishing whenever he got the chance, and perfecting his game of golf.

David is survived by his sister, Diane White; his son, Michael Franklin; his daughter, Kathy Franklin; his daughter, Lori Franklin; his daughter-in-law, Chris Parry Franklin; his grandchildren, Andres Gonzales, Tomas Gonzales, Elena Gonzales, and Nina Parry Franklin; and his faithful dog, Zach.

He will be dearly missed for his kindness, wisdom, and undeniable wit. He remains an inspiration to all who knew and loved him for how to live life with integrity, sincerity, and love.
