Once-ina-lifetime Dodger experience offered by SHS Boosters

-

An amazing drawing prize being offered by the Strathmore High Football Boosters Club will enables two people to sit in the first row directly behind home plate at Dodger Stadium for a game this season. The prize winners will be seen on TV in the background with almost every pitch.

This package includes unlimited food and beverages. The only expenses will be for alcoholic drinks and possibly parking.

These tickets are being provided by 1964 Strathmore High graduate Larry Stewart’s longtime friend Dennis Gilbert, who at one time was the biggest agent in baseball. His clients included Barry Bonds, Mike Piazza, George Brett and many more. Stewart and Gilbert have been friends since 1969, when Gilbert was the center fielder for the Visalia Mets and Stewart was a young reporter for the Visalia Times-delta.

Stewart will serve as host to make sure this is an event one never forget. Winners will undoubtedly meet some of the celebrities who are regulars in the exclusive Dugout Club.

The face value of the tickets is $591 apiece but because of their location, they go for $5,000 apiece on the resale market.

Because this is such a valuable item, it’s being offered in a drawing. Tickets are being sold for $100 apiece. Tickets are available by calling Strathmore High Boosters Club president Rudy Ruiz, 559 359-3547.

A drawing will be held at Strathmore High School in mid-july, with the date to be announced. Stewart, a longtime L.A. Times sports columnist, is scheduled to attend drawing. Winners don’t have to be present to win this amazing prize.
