FAT Paint to hold ribbon cutting April 23
The Porterville Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting at its office for FAT Paint at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23.
Bonnie Boyd of FAT performs Paint Parties at homes, businesses, schools, churches and other locations. As Boyd puts it, “I am faithful, available and teachable, so you can have a Fun Artistic Time!”
The event promises to be an engaging occasion, celebrating not just the launch of a new business, but the promise of added value to the community. Local dignitaries, chamber members, and community supporters are expected to be in attendance.
Boyd is the artist/ owner whose mission is to spread joy, one paint party at a time. Inspired by her artist grandfather, Clarence Attridge, Boyd learned the techniques of impressionistic realism at a young age.
Throughout college, she continued to expand her skills and now incorporates a variety of painting techniques into her business. Having recently retired from Hot Springs School District and still serving as a children’s minister at Believer’s Church, Boyd’s paint parties offer a unique and fun experience for all ages while allowing creative interpretation.
Whether you’re looking to host a party at your home, business, church, school, or other location, Boyd is available for women’s, children’s and couple’s events, team building, fundraisers and more. Boyd states the acronym FAT “represents my values of being Faithful, Available and Teachable to ensure a Fun, Artistic Time for all participants.”
Join the Chamber at the ribbon cutting event to meet Boyd and enjoy refreshments and door prizes to celebrate the joy of art together.
“The Porterville Chamber has always been enthusiastic about supporting new businesses in the area and believes that Fat Paint will significantly contribute to the local economy and community life,” the chamber stated.
