Steelers WR Claypool won’t play vs. Packers

-

Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool was downgraded to out for Sunday’s matchup against the Packers, the team announced Saturday.

Claypool suffered a hamstring injury in practice after getting banged up in Sunday’s loss to the Bengals.

He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, but was listed on the injury report Thursday as limited and didn’t practice at all on Friday.

Claypool was one of the team’s primary targets against the Bengals with Diontae Johnson out with a knee injury and JuJu Smith-Schuster limited because of an injury suffered during the game.

Both Johnson and Smith-Schuster are expected to play Sunday.

Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has gone on injured reserve after hurting his ankle in a victory at San Francisco.
