To the Quickly writer who appreciated living in Indiana “a state with little corruption”. You must not live in Northwest Indiana, particularly my home town.

It’s so sick. Outspoken anti-Trump Republican congressman

Adam Kinzinger has just announced that he will not seek re-election in 2022. He knows that the voters in his bright red Illinois district would never vote for someone who doesn’t bow down to and kiss the feet of emperor Trump.

Republican Texas lieutenant governor Dan Patrick,

a believer in and spreader of the “Big Lie”, (applying oddly enough only to the presidential vote) said he’d pay $25,000 to any tipster for proof. He just paid $25,000 to a Democratic poll worker who reported a Republican man in Pennsylvania voting twice for Trump.

Jerry Davich does not provoke arguments. He provokes thoughts.

Thus the term, “thought provoking”. There is a difference. Provoking us to think is always a good thing. He tells it like it is. He doesn’t promote lies, hate or crackpot conspiracy theories. Most importantly, he tells us to engage in respectful discussions, not screaming matches, if we disagree. In contrast, many right wing commenters purposely promote hate, lies and wild conspiracy theories just to rile people up. They make people angry and provoke hate filled arguments just to increase ratings. That damages our society, but they don’t care. Jerry does. That’s the difference.

The piece columnist Jerry Davich wrote about “religious exemptions” really hit home.

His excerpt from Carl Sagan also was very scary and foreboding when he quoted “especially a kind of celebration of ignorance”. That describes in vivid detail Trump’s attraction for the uneducated and ignorant population. They love him and they revel in their stupidity.

One Quickly writer expressed dismay over the increase in McDonald’s prices.

The writer implied that Biden was in some way benefiting. Indirectly, the writer was blaming Biden for the increases. First, Biden hasn’t fully implemented his agenda. More importantly, McDonald’s has no legitimate reason to raise prices except to please their wealthy stockholders. The writer has forgotten that big corporations like McDonald’s received a huge tax cut from Trump. The purpose of that tax cut was to help big business remain competitive and to keep prices reasonable. The writer is telling us either Trump’s tax cut didn’t work or McDonald’s is just greedy or both! I clearly understand my comments will not make sense to the writer. I am writing because I still believe the majority of Americans appreciate the truth!

Why are Americans so angry? We wouldn’t be angry if we were all treated fairly.

But the rich set up a system where all the burdens fall on us, not them. That’s the main reason we are angry. We have to struggle just to pay bills and save for retirement. The rich don’t struggle. They’re happy and many of us aren’t because there isn’t a level playing field. Many huge corporations pay no taxes, and many rich folks hide their money overseas to avoid taxes. So we pay, and they don’t. Isn’t that enough to make you angry?

Stop misinforming people. Corporations pay payroll tax, real estate tax, personal property tax,

state unemployment tax, federal unemployment tax and many other taxes. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, say nothing.

You know who is Pro-Life?

People who support common sense gun reform, increased healthcare access, follow science on the pandemic, and believe we must confront climate change. We are the real pro-life voters.

In an interview, John Kerry had the nerve to say that he uses solar panels on his massive home

and drives a electric car now like he’s the perfect citizen. What he failed to say was he’s more than happy to give away our energy independence to places like China even if it means putting us in harms way and taking away the fact that were a super power on the national stage, so we can buy solar panels and wind turbines from China while turning our power grid in to a third world country. And in the Biden White House these are what they consider the smart people. What a joke they’re making out of this country and we will pay a serious price down the road because of these climate change fools and the idiots that believe them.

Donald Trump does not want to solve America’s problems

and make us great again. He just pretends that problems like racism, COVID-19, income inequality or climate change do not exist. He just wants to make his bank account great again.
