Fair elections are key to America’s future
The Post Tribune wrote an article March 30th on the public testing of Lake County’s MicroVote voting machines. I attended to watch and learn. The Post-Tribune had a well mannered, professional reporter and photographer to document the testing.
I was interviewed and quoted in their subsequent article. There was a portion of one statement that was used but, without its entirety, it reads differently than intended. I stated (as closely as I remember) that I didn’t believe there was anything nefarious going on in Lake County with the machines but there are other questionable areas that we’ve discovered.
What was quoted was that I don’t think there is anything nefarious going on in Lake County elections. I do believe we have individuals at the Board of Elections who care about our elections and work to protect the process but we are showing that there are questions about the possibility of statewide interference. I believe on both sides that there are questions from the 2020 General Elections; some founded, some not.
I believe America wants a fair election which is why I founded the nonpartisan Secure Indiana to look into the 2020 election. I have traveled to other states to learn as well as spoken to several Clerks about the voting process and the election.
Secure Indiana took the statewide voter database from 2020, identified questionable votes, knocked on doors, asking nonpartisan questions and recorded the answers. We have consulted two attorneys to make sure we are protecting the information to the highest standard and upholding the law. In cases, witness statements are being taken. We are working in 24 counties. We are working with a Sheriff and Prosecutor in one county to clean up cases. We have found a significant amount of questionable circumstances, including in Lake County.
