Breakout swimmers to watch: Chesterton’s Vanessa Krause and Cara Kroeger Skinny: For several reasons the odds are stacked up for the host Trojans in this chapter of the Porter County based sectional. Dating back to 2000, Chesterton has kept its streak of trophies alive. And beyond the tradition, this most recent regular season built a case for their fighting nature. After dropping a dual loss to Crown Point the Trojans bounced back and halted the region’s hottest team with a narrow victory at the conference championship. Stunningly at the DAC meet, the Trojans elevated their swims to a lot of their quickest times on the year. Look for Valparaiso to chip away at the scoring and for LaPorte to succeed as well.
