When: Thursday — Preliminaries for Swimming, 5:30; Saturday — Diving and consolations and finals in the swimming, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Where: Crown Point Natatorium Who: Crown Point, East Chicago, Griffith, Hammond, Clark, Gavit, Morton, Bishop Noll, Highland, Kankakee Valley, Lake Central, Lowell, Munster, North Newton, Rensselaer and South Newton.

Breakout swimmers to watch: Crown Point’s Aly Tetzloff and Hannah Kukurugya.

Skinny: For the first time in years Munster won’t be entering as the favorites. While the Seahorses are off to another tournament worthy showing, thus far, halting Crown Point is a lengthy task. To go along with the front end talent swimmers like Tetzloff, the Bulldogs have added a surplus of depth this year. And ripe off of the narrow loss at the Conference championships, where they posted state tournament level speeds, they’ll be looking to get things on track by earning hardware. Look for Lake Central to remain in the fold and hang with the top teams.
