Jones II, Clarence Wesley
Was born on May 13, 1931 in Gary, Indiana to the late Clarence Wesley and Callie Jones. He attended Roosevelt High School and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Penn Central Railroad Company and worked for Construction Union Local 81. He made his transition on January 30, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters, Maggie, Ethel, Yvonne, Mamie, and Gertha.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 58 years, Lillie (Hoover) Jones; 2 sons, Clarence Wesley Jones III (Judi), Ronald (Dee); 7 daughters, Cathy (Clint), Angela (Richard), Helen, Carol, JaNe’t (Darrin), Jamii (Kent), and Jawana; 28 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Anna Lowery and Ella Hoover; one brother-in-law, Robert (Coran) Hoover Jr.; and a host of family and friends including Timothy Cusic Sr. and Tyshuan Barner.
Visitation Friday, February 7, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family hours from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Guy and Allen Funeral Chapel, 2959 West 11th Avenue, Gary, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Davis Memorial A.M.E. Church, 4137 West 21st Avenue, Gary, Indiana. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
