Outlook: There are more state team qualifying spots than region teams, meaning all of them could advance. That probably won’t happen, but don’t rule it our since it’s happened in recent years. The LaPorte girls used this outlook as incentive to win the regional, and are looking to keep their momentum. The Lake Central boys and girls are using the formula that has worked for them in the past — just survive each round until state, then bowl their best. The Highland, Portage and Michigan City boys all have a good shot at advancing, while the Highland girls keep shining without their injured anchor.
Next: Top 6 boys teams, top 5 girls teams, top 12 boys and top 10 girls individuals advance to state finals on Feb. 15 at Woodland Bowl in Indianapolis
