Mayweather, Cleaster

Age 82, born in Lonake, Arkansas to Henry and Florence Mayweather. A Gary resident for 62 years, passed away on January 30, 2014. He was a retiree of US Steel Sheet & Tin Mill where he worked for 41 years. He was a member of Christian Valley M.B. Church and a graduate of Lew Wallace High Night School.

He leaves to cherish his memory only daughter, Cle’yana Mayweather; 2 sisters, Elnora Voss and Lorine Brown; 3 brothers, Edgar Mayweather, Henry Mayweather and Johnie Mayweather; 2 special nieces, Judy (David) Carson and Rochelle Robinson; loving friend, Rita Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation Thursday, February 6, 2014 12:00-8:00 p.m. Family hours 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Funeral service Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Valley M.B. Church, 1910 Adams Street. Rev. Dewan Bynum officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
