Man robbed on Harrison Street

A 58-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning while walking in the 1100 block of Harrison Street, according to police.

The man said the suspect approached, pointed the weapon at him and demanded money, said Cpl. Gabrielle King, public information officer for the Gary Police Department.

After taking the victim’s money, the suspect fled north on Harrison, King said.
