Gary funeral home robbed at gunpoint

Two armed gunmen robbed Manuel Funeral Home in the 400 block of W. 5th Ave. on Sunday.

The gunman approached a 50-year-old employee of the funeral home as he entered the building about 8:30 p.m., according to Gary police. The victim said the gunmen forced him into the business and searched the building for items to steal.

It is unknown at this time what was taken, police said.
