DAILY HOROSCOPES

- BY GEORGIA NICOLS

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: Avoid shopping or making important decisions until 1 p.m. After that we have the all clear and the Moon moves from Taurus into Gemini. IF FEB. 7 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Actor James Spader (1960) shares your birthday. You are an idealist who wants to right the wrongs in society. You often use your skills to reveal the suffering of the poor or the underdog. You are an astute judge of character and as such, you choose your friends carefully. Fairness and justice are important to you, especially in the family. Make time to study or learn something important this year because it will matter. ARIES (March 21-April 19): You want to negotiate and talk, which is why it’s important to stay in touch with the Moon Alert above. If you have to make an important decision or purchase — wait until later in the day. Don’t beat others over the head trying to convince them about something. TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Be careful about financial matters. Keep an eye on the Moon Alert if you’re thinking about making important financial decisions or purchases. Your gut instincts about money issues are off. Tomorrow is a better day for financial transactions. GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Today the Moon is in your sign but not until later in the day. (See the Moon Alert above.) Furthermore, the Moon is at odds with Mercury, which means your communications are clouded, nervous and unfocused. Be aware of this. Just tread water and stay away from the deep end. CANCER (June 21-July 22): Issues that are hidden or unclear (or even falsified or misrepresented) are difficult to deal with. If possible, table any important decisions until tomorrow. (Tomorrow is a clear, solid day.) It’s easy to fall into wrong thinking. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Conversations with partners and close friends are a bit strained; however, they will likely focus on past events or people from your past. In fact, there might be an obsession about trying to figure out something from the past. Memories can be so malleable, can’t they? VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Your ruler Mercury is retrograde and at odds with today’s Moon. Meanwhile, the Moon is at the top of your chart, which simply calls attention to any confusion you experience. In particular, this attention will be under the scrutiny of bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. (Gotta love it.) LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): The fact that old flames might be back in the picture again could be exciting or emotionally upsetting. (Especially if you’ve gained weight — and who hasn’t?) Issues about travel, religion and politics are confusing but demanding. Get as much information as possible before you do anything. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Family discussions about shared property and using what is available or how to share certain resources might be tough to slog through. It’s hard to stay focused, in part because you might think the solution is not possible. Tomorrow things will look quite different. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): When dealing with partners and close friends, your feelings might override logic. Either others are compelled to confess their problems to you, or you feel you must come clean about something. Either way, this does not make for smooth conversations with others. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): This is a poor day to make important decisions at work because you keep changing your mind. One moment things look clear and the next moment, they don’t. It’s hard to know what to do. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Try to keep things light with romantic partners because they can go south in a New York minute because of misunderstandings and mutual disappointments. Basically, conversations are like two ships passing in the night. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Family discussions seem important. And they are. Nevertheless, obstacles are in the way primarily because of heightened feelings and a subjective take on things. By tomorrow, objectivity and clarity are much easier to achieve. Today everyone is caught up in their own thoughts.
