Party host, 4 others arrested in Portage disturbance
PORTAGE — Caleb Westfall repeatedly and unwantedly groped at least two females at a party at his home, police said. When their male friends confronted him, Westfall allegedly charged at one of the women with a knife.
Westfall, 24, was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday outside his home, in the 6400 block of Portage Avenue, on three felony charges — intimidation with a deadly weapon and two counts of sexual battery. He also was charged with misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and two counts of battery. He denied all accusations.
Jesse Bailey, 20, of Knox, was arrested for misdemeanor underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Joell Bailey, 22, of Knox, was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The two women, ages 18 and 19, both from Chesterton, were arrested for underage drinking.
