Meet all the newest faculty members at PNC

WESTVILLE — Purdue University North Central welcomes new full-time faculty members for the 2014-15 academic year. They are: College of Science

Lindsay Gielda, visiting assistant professor of biology. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her doctorate at the University of Michigan.

Amy Hammoud, visiting assistant professor of nursing. Ham- moud holds associate degrees from Indiana University and Purdue University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Phoenix.

Bir Kafle, visiting assistant professor of mathematic­s. Kafle was granted a bachelor’s degree at Tribhuvan University-Nepal; a master’s degree at Western Illinois University and doctorate at Louisiana State University.

Kristi Paull, visiting assistant professor of nursing. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and master’s degree from University of Phoenix.

Allyson Saary, visiting assistant professor of nursing. She has an associate degree from Miami- Dade Community Coll ege, a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree from Walden University.

Scott Simerlein, clinical as- sistant professor of biology. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Doctor of Chiropract­ic from Palmer College of Chiropract­ic.

Michelle Spaulding, assistant professor of biolog y. She was granted her bachelor’s degree by the University of California and her master’s and doctorate degrees from Columbia University.

Gayle Voight-Block, clinical assistant professor of nursing. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Valparaiso University and her master’s at Purdue University. College of Liberal Arts

Hui Chu, assistant professor of psychology. Chu holds master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Kentucky and was most recently a visiting scholar instructor at the University of Kentucky.

Denise Frazier, assistant professor of literacy education. She has a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s and doctorate degrees from Ball State University. College of Engineerin­g and Technology

Kim Huffman, visiting assistant professor of computer and informatio­n technology. She earned her associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University.

Jiliang Li, assistant professor of civil engineerin­g. He was granted his bachelor’s degree by the University of Science and Technology Beijing and his doctorate by the University of Alabama.

Wangling Yu, visiting assistant professor of electrical and computer engineerin­g technology. He earned his bachelor’s degree from East China University of Science and Technology, and his master’s and doctorate degrees from The City College of the City University of New York.

George Stefanek, assistant professor of computer and informatio­n technology. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, his master’s degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago and his doctorate from the Illinois Institute of Technology. College of Business

Ceren Ekebas-Turedi, assistant professor of marketing. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Yeditepe University Turkey, a master’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a doctorate degree from Old Dominion University.

Henry Williams, assistant professor of organizati­onal leadership. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from National Louis University and doctorate from Benedictin­e University.
