College Financial Aid Help: College-bound students can get free help filing for financial aid through Indiana University Northwest’s College Goal Sunday, set for Feb. 22 at 36 sites statewide, including from 2 to 4 p.m. in Hawthorn Hall, Room 428, at IU Northwest, 3400 Broadway, Gary. Professionals will help students and their families file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which is required to be considered for federal and state grants and loans and scholarships at most schools. FAFSAs must be filed by March 10 to be eligible for state aid. Students should attend with parents or guardians and all should bring 2014 tax returns, W-2s and other income and benefits information.
