CURE offers online sessions

Indiana University Northwest’s Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE) provides a variety of free and low-cost courses for all ages through its Community Garden, Adult Education, Reading Skills and Senior University programs. CURE is now enrolling for fall sessions. “Wellness on the Web” will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Dec. 8 via Zoom. Leslie Kiser will discuss health related mobile apps, as well as websites that provide informatio­n about health issues and online workout resources. The course is free and open to adults 55 and older. Registrati­on deadline is Dec. 7 at go.iu. edu/3AVG. “LinkedIn 101” will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 via Zoom and Facebook Live. Offered in collaborat­ion with the Gary Housing Authority/Gary EnVision Center, the session will cover the basics of using the profession­al networking platform LinkedIn. The class is free to all adults. No registrati­on necessary. “Introducti­on to Password Managers” will be offered from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12 via Zoom. Join Tatyana Otero to learn how to easily ramp up online safety by using a password manager app. The class is free and open to adults 55 and older. Register by Dec. 9 at go.iu.edu/3AVG.
