Josie Mae Alexander (née Cargle) age 101, was in Hillboro, Alabama, the 7th of 12 children to Young Julius and Maria Joanna (Josie) Cargle. She is preceded in death by parents Young Julius (YJ) and Maria Joanna (Josie) Cargle, husband Lud “Pete” Alexander, daughter JoAnn Alexander; sisters Alice Louise Cargle, Eula Lee Cargle-Scruggs, and Gillie Cargle-McFarland; brothers Wallace (Annie), Julius Bray (Ruth) Cargle, Frank (Helen) Cargle, Sidney (Virginia) Cargle, Pedro Santos Cargle, and Elmer Darden Cargle; brother-in-law Jeff Alexander; sisters-in-law Belva Jean Cargle, Ora Lee Heathington, Ruby Lee (Earnest) Knights; as well as friend from age 14 and sister-in-law Thelma (Howard) Fuqua. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter and caretaker Cynthia Alexander-Ogele of Gary, IN; daughter Linda Kay Alexander of Indianapolis, IN, and son David Lud Alexander, Sr. of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren David Alexander, Jr., Evan (Jessica) Alexander, Erinma (Vladimir) Glisovic (née Ogele), Joanna Maria Alexander, Larrell Elizabeth Alexander, Alexander Marshall, Donnell Hargro, Wynter Ogele, and JoAnn Alexander II; great-grandchildren Ty Diego Alexander, Mya Alexander, Julian Alexander, and Sebastian Julius Wegrzynowicz; brother Dr. Rev. Carrell K. Carole, Sr. and sister Alma (nee Cargle) Buchanan, sister-in-law Louise (Pedro) Cargle, a host of nieces and nephews.
