Valparaiso University to have holiday events through December

Valparaiso University will have holiday events available for students, faculty and staff through Dec. 4. From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, there will be an annual tree lighting at Harre Union, with a free Julefest show featuring the Valparaiso Community/University Band to follow at 7 p.m. at the Chapel of the Resurrection. Also at the Chapel of Resurrection will be a night of music by the Chamber Concert Band, Chorale, Handbells, Kantorei, Vox Lucis and Symphony Orchestra beginning at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 5 p.m. Dec. 3. Admission is free for students. Non-Valparaiso students can purchase tickets through the Valparaiso University Center of the Arts box office either online or in person Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Another holiday music show by low brass instruments will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 4. Participation is $10 and admission is free.
