Audubon Christmas bird count volunteer sign-ups open

The Indiana Dunes will be facilitating a Audubon Christmas Bird Count on Dec. 31 in the INDW birding circle. The circle is located in the northeast parts of Lake County and the northwest parts of Porter County. Volunteer birders will be assigned a location or they can do counts at their home bird feeders. The data collected will help to assess the health of bird populations and to guide conservation actions. The count sign-up deadline is Dec. 26. For more information call 219-395-1885.
