Studies begin regarding U.S. 30
ProPEL U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 study teams are beginning Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) studies along approximately 180 miles of U.S. 30 and U.S. 31, including from Valparaiso to the Ohio State line, and will host public information meetings to provide updates and gather local input. The U.S. 30 West presentation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oregon Davis School, located at 5990 N. County Road 750E in Hamlet, Indiana.
ProPEL U.S. 30 is an INDOT initiative to streamline transportation planning using collaborative studies to consider environmental, community, and economic goals early in the process. Once the studies are completed in 2024, INDOT will evaluate the results to identify and develop projects in the corridors. More information about the study can be found on the project website: ProPELUS30.com.
