NWI Comic-Con
Guest browse booths and meet artists and celebrity guests from 11 to 6 p.m. Feb. 11 at Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point. Admission is $12. At 889 S. Court St. in the Industrial Building. facebook.com and search for NWI Comic Con.
Now in its ninth year, more than 100 exhibitors join more than a dozen celebrity guests and artists participating in meet and greets and seminars sharing a mutual love of comic books, action figures, video and board games and pop culture theme interests. Food concessions are available during the event.
Jonny James
Country music favorite Jonny James is behind the microphone at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at Art Theater in Hobart. Tickets are $15. At 230 Main St. on the main stage. 219-9421670; brickartlive.com.
Paired with Kylee Cooper as the concert opener, Jonny James performs a two-hour concert starting at 8 p.m., including an album release party atmosphere for the debut of his new “Leaving Indiana” album.
The Neverly Brothers
Founded by Kevin Giragosian, The Neverly Brothers ‘A Rock ‘n’ Roll Tribute from Elvis to The Beatles’ is a pre-Valentine’s Day weekend concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster. The Neverly Brothers in concerts create a tribute to one of the most exciting chapters in music history: the birth, near death and resurrection of rock n’ roll. Their one-of-a-kind high energy stage performances include large screen multimedia for a musical guided tour of rock history from 1955 to 1965.
