Rural OK Food Animal Veterinary Grant now available
OhLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is excited to announce a new funding opportunity for rural veterinarians called the Rural Oklahoma Food Animal Veterinary GrantK “We are eager to offer this new opportunity for our Oklahoma veterinarians to be better able to service food animals in the rural part of our state,” Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur saidK “We appreciate the Legislature recognizing the need and the importance of expanding the services offered to our rural protein producersK” Ten $15,000 grants, totaling $150,000 in grant dollars, will be administered to food animal veterinarians focusing on beef, swine, sheep, goats and poultry across the state to address critical needs in rural OklahomaK Applications are now open and will close May 2K
