Rural OK Food Animal Veterinary Grant now available

OhLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Agricultur­e, Food and Forestry is excited to announce a new funding opportunit­y for rural veterinari­ans called the Rural Oklahoma Food Animal Veterinary GrantK “We are eager to offer this new opportunit­y for our Oklahoma veterinari­ans to be better able to service food animals in the rural part of our state,” Secretary of Agricultur­e Blayne Arthur saidK “We appreciate the Legislatur­e recognizin­g the need and the importance of expanding the services offered to our rural protein producersK” Ten $15,000 grants, totaling $150,000 in grant dollars, will be administer­ed to food animal veterinari­ans focusing on beef, swine, sheep, goats and poultry across the state to address critical needs in rural OklahomaK Applicatio­ns are now open and will close May 2K
