Howe Trustees approve renovation­s

HOWE — The Howe Board of Trustees met in a regular meeting April 4 in the Howe City Hall with all members presentK

Under reports, for the fire department, three grass fires were reportedK The police department answered 12 calls for three warrants and one citationK The maintenanc­e department discussed purchase priceK

The trustees discussed repairs to the park fence and the need for help with donationsK No action was takenK

Renovation­s to the Paul Richardson Civic Center to convert it to city hall and the police department was again discussed with financial through hansas State BankK Trustees approved taking out a loan for $50,000 and calling for a special meeting to approve the contractor, who will do the repairsK

A volunteer day to help with repairs on Doc Dean’s office was also discussedK Trustees talked about waivers to make sure no law suits were filedK

Trustees also approve reimbursin­g the City of Heavener $960 for a cash bond received from the LCDCK Also, Trustees approved purchasing three loads of SB2K
